I bought a Sony RX 100 m3 and have a question. When I press the playback button I used to see the image that filled the LCD screen. Now I have a small image and all kinds of info underneath it, and on the right side, there is four-color graphs, a white, red, green, and blue. How do I get back to the full-size image when using the playback button?

With an image displayed, tap the “display” position at the top of the rear control wheel, once. It should return the screen to an uncluttered view. The screen with all the information in it shows you all the data in the image.

Hope this helps.

I know it’s a pain, but if you have the instructional manual read it with your camera in hand. Try out the various features.

You are seeing one screen of four that is available to you, on the back of your camera on the right side of the screen, you have a round wheel, on top it will say DISP. Bring your screen up, now, push the wheel up toward the DISP, your screen should change, you will see four options, pick the one you want and away you go.

I also have this camera and this book has really been useful: Photographer's Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 III: Getting the Most from Sony's Pocketable Digital Camera by Alexander White. He explains all the features of this camera in great detail.

on youtube on the sony alpha lab there is a guy named Jay that has a bunch of very good youtube videos on the many complicated menu selections focus and exposure suggestions. I have an m3 and also an m7 and used his videos to help me understand and better utilize the focus areas and methods. also gary freidman archives has e books for every model of the rx100 which will help you immensely...

Thank you very much, your answer worked great. My daughter talked me into this camera and I'm still trying to learn all its features. Thank you again.
