Great capture in the wild
I'm jealous, in all of the trips I have made to Yellowstone, I have never seen a Big Horn sheep. Nice shot.

No blind. As CWS says, right place, right time. The rams come down in the fall looking for "a date." Once you learn their cycle, you can be there before they are.
Nice shot, lucky you!! I was in YNP earlier this week and didn't see any sheep. Saw a bunch this winter as I crossed the bridge on the Yellowstone river headed towards the Lamar Vallley. The Rut is about to begin, Hot Dog!!!
Great capture, excellent image.
Very nice shot!
Headed there on Tuesday.
I've seen them above Tower Junction. There was a black bear in the parking lot at the same time. It is berry time for the bears so they tend to hang out along the roads and streams where the berry bushes are.
This will be my first time there with my DSLR. I have hundreds of slides going back to 1970 we plan to scan one of these days.
