I have a Canon MG7720 that no longer prints. I've played with it, deep cleaned, replaced cartridges, ... but no success. I'm ready to buy another one. Looking for experienced based recommendations. I do not print images. I use it to copy, scan and print documents. It is not used very often so the ink may dry up?

Thank you for your response.

I got a Canon Pixma Tr8250 that works very well. Got it at Best Buy about a year ago, $150.00. Fax, scan, copy, et al. Does good on photos also. I think price has gone down. First Canon I've had, and I'll probably stick with Canon. Also wireless, but use it wired.

I've been using the Epson Expression XP-830 for several years now and like it a lot. Photo printing is done on a Epson XP-960. I switched over from Canon after having major problems with a new printer and never looked back. Good luck Mark.

Over the years I’ve had great luck with Brother all in ones. They seem to last a long time and are stingy on ink usage.

I have a Canon PIXMA MX-922, but I think they quit making them....
It's been working well for years. I do like the two sided copying and printing.

Mark, like you, I no longer print images. I scan and print documents. When my Epson 2200 died in September 2017. I had to look for a new printer that met my very basic needs. I ended up going to Walmart and buying a Canon printer that is wireless, scans, copies, and prints. It cost $42. It has worked flawlessly since I bought it. I replaced the ink cartridges twice. Actually I could have bought a new printer for about $10 less than the cost of the two cartridges, but this has been working so well I just replaced the ink. I still have my Epson scanner that I use if I need a quality scan of a negative or transparency. Document scans on the Canon are very good and the printer is actually pretty fast.

Mark, I'm using a Canon G6000 eco tank printer. I like it very much. I don't use it for photos so I can't comment on how it performs but since you're not using it for that purpose, the point is moot. I have a Canon Pro-100 for photos.

I have 2 Epson printers. The black ink cartridge on my Artisan 837 (an all-in-one) went dry and it sat unused for about 18 months. I used my other printer instead. When I finally got a set of cartridges for the 837 and replaced the black the first color test sheet I printed was off color but every one after that was just fine. I did eventually change the rest of the cartridges because they were all low, but, I saw no indication of a problem because of the printer sitting unused for so long. Don't know if the 837 is still made, but, it is still excellent as a copier, scanner and printer, both photo and document so I would expect its replacement to be at least as good. I currently use it for 5x7 photos and 8.5x11 documents. I only ever use Epson ink.
My other all-in-one is an Epson Expression XP-960. Excellent in every way. Photos, up to 11x17, are stunning.
