The skipper of the newly commissioned nuclear attack submarine called an "all hands" meeting on deck before getting underway. He admonished the crew that any male crewmember caught in the women's quarters would be fined $100 for the first time, $250 for the second transgression, and $750 for the third time. When he had finished his warning, an old sailor in the ranks held up his hand. The skipper asked, "do you have a question, chief"? The chief said, "yes sir, how much is a season pass"?

"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all" certainly an old Navy saying.
Haha. It takes two to tango. And so, what about the ladies who find their way to the quarters of the menfolk? They get in free, right?

No they get maternity leave
I was stationed on a submarine that took a group of women sailors out for a test run. I think it was for one week, they were deciding whether or not women could/should be assigned to submarine duty. We got a royal chewing out about leaving the women alone a month before they boarded.
Before the announcement of the women and the nasty lecture, the Captain asked for volunteers to go to training schools on our next deployment. I was one of those who raised my hand and was sent to a teletype repair school during that test run.
So I don't know what all happened on the sub, but there was never one word spoken about it by any of the crew that I heard. You would think everyone would have been talking about it one way or another for quite a while.

Yep - and that's a problem with readiness - especially when the pregnancy rate is around 16% and ships are unable to quickly fill the vacancies with trained replacements...
