FF Nikon lenses on Hasselblad medium format

Does anyone have experience with the Hasselblad X1D (II) using Novoflex (or other) adaptor for Nikon F, and a Nikon mount FF lens? If so, how did the combination work?

You can use a Hasselblad lens on a Nikon camera, but no Nikon F lens will cover the Hasselblad sensor.

And they can not sit close enough to the film or sensor to focus properly

Some get really close to covering it. (Not that I’d want to do it)
The digital medium format isn’t as big as it was with film.

The video doesn’t appear to address if you lose infinity focus.

Right. If I had the Hasselblad, I wouldn’t want to waste one square millimeter!

It was interesting to note in the video that you’d have to activate the Hasselblad’s electronic shutter to use the Nikon lenses. The normal hassie’s lenses have leaf shutters. Just like all their film cameras, except the 1000F and 2000FWC

If you use it for only extreme closeup it may be OK. I see that no way they can do infinity focus and as we know the Nikon F lenses won't cover the medium format but when using in close up the coverage increases.

X1D-II has an 18mm depth so infinity focus is no problem with Nikon lenses.

Some older Nikkors have extra coverage enuf for some purposes on various digital mid format bodies due to the reduced format size of such barely mid format cameras. The X1D-II sensor is only 33x44mm.

Why would you want to drop down in lens quality?
