Who says you can't find good photo ops on a rainy day? I think it needs a little critter or something. What would you add? Let's see your ideas!

I cleaned up the stump digitally. It had more vines on it but I was not going near it with that poison oak.

#1 - I should have paid more attention to your discussion with Jim-Pops for shadows underneath the body. Colors unified via a Nik filter (one of the vintage film efex, I believe).

#2 - Invert (negative image). Added the layer Jim-Pops provided for watercolor background, using luminosity blend mode. Then did a PS Elements filter "water paper" in multiply blend mode.

Tried to think of where to go next, but this is where my imagination lets me down Pretty, though!

That is a cute critter! I love the water color. Now that I have a little more time I will have to revisit Jim's post on creating it. Very cool technique.

That critter was a marmot who posed for me up by Mt Rainier National Park. Here is a Wilson's Snipe from the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge (south of Yakima) where they nest in spring.

Thanks for the play date, Keni!

Oh wow that looks great! I love what you did with that. The desaturation is perfect with the bird coloring. I have been working on some fungus but I think I need to play with my stump.

Thanks!

The de-saturation appearance is from another Nik Color Efex filter called duplex. I used one of the pre-sets on that, then some selective glow and lightening of other areas.

You can and you have so out of respect for a very nice piece of work I would not mess with it.

Just trying to encourage and inspire the imagination of others or give them something to help relieve the boredom of being trapped at home. Its like covering a song someone else has recorded and adding your own interpretation. Sometimes the cover is better than the original.

I love watching The Voice.

I wanted to get in on this early. No great technique but here it is.

Jack you are doing great on your composites! The crab is cool but I love the wood sprite. I like the treatment you used.

Thanks Keni they are easy and fun, nothing like the effort you put into yours but they keep me out of trouble.
