With at least one Amazon warehouse worker testing positive for the virus, it would be smart to disinfect mail and packages. Aside from Amazon, lots of other people handle mail and packages. I'm going to use a Clorox mixture to spray and/or wipe. I have lots of latex gloves, too.

Or let the mail sit for what, 24 hours?

There should be a longevity time for the virus.
Maybe the oven at 220° for an hour?

Ah, perfect solution! That new camera will go right into the oven.

If you are afraid to handle packages that are left on your front porch, there is only one good solution. Leave them on the porch for 24 hours. In that time the virus will disappear ... along with the package.

Anyone have any facts on this? I have heard that the virus can survive for 10 hours on paper, cardboard etc. Only 1/2 hour on copper. So different surfaces different survival times for the virus. Then of course you see the videos of governments spraying the streets with disinfectant. To be safe I have been letting packages and mail sit for a day. Also washing after handling any parcels. Hard times that require more science and facts. Try to stay safe and distant everyone.

Yup, actual facts, not propagated garbage, would be nice.

Or maybe the microwave for 30 seconds. Except cameras and lenses of course.

It's hopeless. I'm going to lay down and die right now. But don't worry. Trump says we will ALL be in church on Easter sunday. Talk about clueless.
