Canon Pixma TS8320 Printer Ink

I have a new Canon printer. A complete set of ink for the printer at Best Buy is about $60. On eBay, a complete set of ink sells for less than $20. The ink on eBay says its "OEM Canon" ink. My question, is how is this possible? Have any of you had any experience with buying ink from eBay? Thank you.

I happen to use an Epson printer; however, check out LDProducts.com; Precision Colors.com; Ink Farm; all these have proved to be reliable and have caused me no problems, either in color reproduction or mechanical. All are priced substantially less than Epson inks.

Thanks. I have used a cheaper ink in another Canon printer, but the ink clogged the printer module and I am reluctant to use cheaper ink again.

Neither the LDProducts nor Precision Colors have ever clogged mine. I only quit Precision colors because I changed printers (the old one wore out) and they do not yet provide for my particular model. Both provide timely refill service.

There are several brands of after market ink that work really well in Canon printers - G&G, Moustache, and Galada to name 3 that I have used. When you google on e-bay, look for the brands first, and then check the vendor's rating second. Be aware that any pigment inks will clog the print head if left unused for any length of time. The larger black cartridge is the one to watch in this regard. The smaller color cartridges are usually die based and less of an issue. The only thing I know about the downside of non-Canon ink is the fear of fading or colorfastness, but then I don't print to last a lifetime. I have prints on my wall that were done twenty years ago with refills from Island Ink franchise at the local mall, and they are still brilliant.
