A set of images using the Nikkor 500 f5.6 lens with Teleconverter TC 1.4E II.

There are a few issues, the minimum aperture is f8 and in poor light conditions as these images were taken in, hand holding can be a bit of a problem because shutter speeds are relatively low. ISO for most of these images is 4000. The body I used is the Nikon D500. The perceived angle of view shooting in DX mode as most of these were shot in was 1050mm. For some of the images I used the 1.3 crop which gave a PAV of around 1400mm.

A couple of images are with the lens combo fitted to my D850.

The results as you can see are quite impressive.

Beautiful Capture Indrajeetbhai. Have you tried working on assignments for National Geographic for Birds of South Central India?

Hi All! A small correction, I mention TC 1.4E II in the text. It should read as TC 1.4E III. Sorry!

Amazing collection, fantastic captures. Wondering how is this lens / body combo is for capturing birds in flight. Is it fast in locking onto the target ? Could you post some pictures if you have in your future postings please. Again really wonderful captures, sharp and with great detail and composition. Thanks.

Excellent set, you must be steady as a rock hand holding at those focal lengths.
