Hi I've just seen one of these lenses attached to an Alpha 77 in a shop display and I'm wondering if any of guys out there in hog land have had any experience with them, for NZ$799 it seemed like a bit of a bargain.
Samyang lenses are becoming very popular, mainly due to their low pricing policies and the optical quality is not bad for the price.
On a personal opinion, I am not fond of mirror lenses, irrespective of manufacturer. Yes they have the reach, but generally have restricted apertures and for an A3 print the quality is less than satisfactory.

Also - they have 'donut' Bokeh and are usually fully manual regarding focus. Little if any control over Aperture.

BUT - - if you need the reach, and don't fancy the thought of dropping $7K {US} or equivalent for a refractor lens - then a reflector may be useful.
