They have 2 lenses I sent them and waiting on the money. It's only been a couple days so keeping my fingers crossed. The last time they approved my quote the day after receiving but not this time. Makes me think they are closed

Typical turnaround time is a week.

If that is your biggest worry, consider yourself blessed.

Personally in my mind, the health and safety of the workers would supersede any lens sales for me. This virus is serious because there is NO cure, the focus has to be on prevention. If they were closed I would be happy they are protecting their workers.

Sorry but your lenses are not essential to the health and safety of the country.

I heard that even Amazon has stopped deliveries, here, except for medical supplies and food.

I don't know about Amazon as I just saw a post on Facebook from one of their employees (he's a dispatcher I think) who is my youngest son's best friend here in Georgia asking for people to order from Amazon so as to keep his drivers on the job...Maybe it depends on their location...

B&H is closed so I guess MPB is closed also. Likely no more ordering from any NY store

IIRC, B&H is still accepting online orders (which are filled out of their NJ warehouse). It's the physical NYC store that is closed

I sent my 7200 to MPB to trade for a d500. The next day I thought they may close so I went ahead and paid for the d500 so they would ship that day. I can wait a few months for the money for my 7200. I agree with everyone else. The safety of the workers is paramount. My d500 is being delivered today according to FedEx. My 7200 got there yesterday. I received no email so I'm assuming they are closed. Hope so for the workers sake. I'm laid off now. I'm 60 and my owner was kind enough to allow me to take the first layoff because I was older than most of our employees. We will be closing completely this coming week. We are small and this is going to be very hard on our company. Loans are not the solution for us. We will make it one way or the other. It will not be pleasant or easy but we will not quit. As long as our employees and their families survive we will win. Everyone have a sterile day. I've been spending my time going to the grocery for some older folks in my community. In a full chemical suit. Anything to be sure of staying sterile. It saddens me that most people in the stores including the cashiers are not even wearing gloves. This is why it will continue to spread. Please everyone if not for yourself at least for the most vulnerable. Wear gloves and sanitize at the very least. We can and will win this battle. We are America. We are winners. Act as such.

There is no cure for the flu or the common cold either, and certainly no need to panic. So far this flu season has resulted in 22,000 deaths just here in the US and yet no one is shouting that the sky is falling. The cure for the Corona virus is the same as it is for the flu: Rest, drink fluids, wash your hands and avoid personal contact. As of this morning's CDC figures the World death rate from Corona is 4.1%. It has been holding steady at that rate for the 10 days I have been tracking it. Here in the US, based on the same CDC figures, which are released every morning, the death rate has dropped from 2% ten days ago to 1.4% today.
Precautions are necessary and more so for some. My younger sister, who is 69 and lives in an assisted living facility has respiratory issues and is unlikely to survive the virus should she get it. For anyone reasonably healthy it is no where near as bad as the Chicken Littles among us would have us believe.

They're open online. Just the actual store is closed.

There is no cure for the flu or the common cold ei... (show quote)

The Coronavirus fatality rate is over 10x that of the flu. China is driving the worldwide statistic because of the shear numbers. Do you believe those numbers from China? If so you are more naive than it appears.

In Italy the fatality rate is 6% and literally hundreds of people are dying every day because it spread so fast.

Here we are seeing younger people in good health also die from it so rumors about it only affecting older people with secondary complications are wrong.

There are many unknowns with this virus but one thing for sure is it can kill you healthy or not.

I sincerely hope that your caviler attitude works for you. Best of luck.

I'm in So Cal and Amazon is still delivering here. Delivery times on some stuff is longer than 2 day Prime on Prime items, but still a go.

Chances are the OP's lenses were so special that MPB sold them the same day they received them, closed the business and took off for a coronavirus free island. If they were my lenses I wouldn't be wasting my time announcing it on UHH. I think the CIA should be handling it since they probably left the country by now.
