Should I apply for a job??

First off I don’t if I am breaking copyright rules by posting two of these screenshots but I am doing it only to show what I feel is an amazing coincidence. I attended the Iowa v Ohio State basketball game and discovered the AP photographer captured and published photos that I happened to take at essentially the exact same time. I was higher (in the stands) while the AP guy was lower but from almost the same angle. To me just quite a coincidence.

Sure would be nice to see what I could get if allowed down on the floor with “professional grade equipment” like my Sony A9. I can only take a camera that doesn’t have removable lenses. I had to use my Sony RX 10 MIV from 60-70 feet away. Didn’t mean to imply the final output was equal. Not really a fair fight. I guarantee the AP guy wasn’t using a bridge camera.
My main purpose of the post was just the coincidence of getting essentially the exact same shot. That’s all. No real expectations of getting hired. Just a lighthearted title post.

As a lighthearted answer to your lighthearted title post, its not really a good time to seek a job as sports photographer. It appears that job description is in a state of oversupply and events requiring the expertise (hiring) of sports photographers are virtually zero.

And what's wrong with his shot? I think it's a great shot matching the first. But what do I know I'm not a pro but doubt you are either. Actually I like his better because it shows more scope of action and facial expressions of the other players.

Your shots are spot on! With the postponement (?) of the NBA and the cancellation of the NCAA tourney, I wouldn't quit my job just yet!

I get what you are saying. What great coincidences in both cases.
