Years ago I had a Canon AE1 and I took a college course on photography using that camera - got a lot of practical experience and really great B&W pictures I wanted- but over time digital photography came in to play and made it easy to get decent pictures. The AE1 is retired and I had a string of some very good Point and Shoot Models but it was my Olympus TG1 that really got me going. I have gotten some great photos from it and when it died (snorkeling in a Mexican Cenote no less) I upgraded to the TG5 also a very good point and shoot BUT I have reached the point where it no longer feels like enough. I can have an American Bald eagle circling just 60 feet over my head and my camera will barely register anything except that it is bird-shaped. After much saving and researching I have upgraded myself to a Sony A7iii Mirrorless Camera! Let the adventure begin...I have a lot to learn and practice however it is a labor of love. I am looking forward to more intense micro-photography and even some astro-photography eventually - soooo much I hope to do. I am very exited to be in this forum and look forward to sharing this passion with you.

As long as it's a labor of love, you'll never get tired of experimenting with photography. Welcome.
