Nice features added to Luminar

Yesterday I downloaded Luminar 4.2 and tried the new features of AI Augmented Sky, Shine Removal Technology, and Slim Face 2.0. It also has a new Face Features Detection Network that I found works much better to detect any faces in a photo. Skylum claims "... regardless of position, skin tone or unusual features." So far, it located the faces in my test photos. I like the shine removal as it sees to work well and saves me time from doing it the old way.
This is a free upgrade thankfully for those already having Luminar 4.

I have Luminar 4.1.0 (5191) installed on my windows pc. Oddly, when I "check for updates", I get "Luminar 4.1.0 (5191) is currently the newest version available".

I just got mine yesterday so it seems they are rolling it out in batches. I know Mac was released before Windows and I believe different areas of the world were also staggered.

I had this issue with L4 when it first came out and had to contact them for help. They sent me a link to force the update. This time the 4.2 update worked without issue. I'm on a MSI Windows laptop. If yours doesn't update contact them and see if you have a similar issue.

I just checked after reading your posting here , and a message popped up giving me the chance to update to the new version . Thanks for letting me know about the update

Try uninstalling 4.1. Restart computer. Then go to Skylum website and you account. Download 4.2. Worked for me after not updating from inside 4.2. I understand they are using a new loader which is the problem I expect.
