Ghost Ranch, NM - edits and suggestions welcomed

I believe the house belonged to Georgia O'Keefe and will not be open to the public for another 60+ years as per her wish. I tried attaching the raw file but it is too large. I did some PP work in Affinity Photo and tried to emphasize the earth tones.

Please feel free to edit and post here to show your interpretation. I am particularly interested in ideas for different compositions.

For me the image was about the textures of the landscape, the changes in topography as you move from foreground to back, and most of all the colors, or what I imagine the colors could be

Nik tonal contrast, a little dodge and burn, but mostly the influence is Topaz Simplify Buzsim V in "multiply" blend mode.

Thanks for the opportunity to travel down a whole different road, George!

I fiddled with your photo for a long time. So the processing is everything but the kitchen sink, so don't give that too much thought. I did rotate first thing, so that the house was vertical. Then tried this and that for cropping. The aim was to give the house more presence. The top was pulling my eye away from the bottom. For what its worth.

I like the crop Linda but those colours are a bit OTT even for me!

You beat me by more than 14 second Linda. I was trying to accomplish the same thing. Just couldn't seem to make it happen.

There's not much to hold the viewer's eye so, desaturated and cooled background to make it recede a bit, while adding exposure and warming the foreground; popped the house windows a tad- roof, too- then dropped clarity and sharpness overall except for the house... All the above to draw attention to the "Ghost Ranch" house... and cropped a bit, too...

Iā€™m with him on that! Nevertheless, you offering does show some of the possibilities of digital pp - quite mind-blowing at times.

For me this image is about the 'Ghost House' and Georgia O'keeffe. The landscape just provided a sense of place, but only a little is required to accomplish the same effect. This image is overpowered by the landscape and the house is only a very minor player. She painted in a colorful style, getting a lot of her inspiration from the local area. So I thought that making her ghost house the focus in a painterly style with a hint of her work was appropriate.
