You know Brent .., it’s not just the photos you post that are the real story .., it’s the fact that you can see from what you shoot .., that you had so much fun doing it ... and that’s what I see when I see your shots .., diversity of God’s gifts ... as captured in everyday settings ...

Dr.Nikon, you bring up some good points............often times I will go out on a photo shoot somewhere and have an open mind on what to shoot and how to shoot it. Often times the photos are not planned BUT I am an opportunist and am constantly looking around for something interesting to capture. There are some basic rules to follow (and break too!) like the rule of thirds, look behind you when you are hiking in the wilderness, try a low camera angle, capture a foreground middle ground and background, ALWAYS be aware of the lighting, etc.
You are so right about having FUN while doing it too! I'm glad you picked up on that in my photos. Remember, 1/2 the fun is photographing it and the other half is working it over in Post Production. Bringing out the real potential of the scene.
Thanks for your insight into these photos Dr.Nikon!
Gosh guy! Picking my fav 10 photos of a month is a trail and of a year. Egads! Course my photo taking has reduced greatly since having to finally get off motorcycles. But, like you, if it attacks my attention, it usually ends up in the camera's storage system. Always have enjoyed looking at and studying your photos.
You certainly have an eye for photography!

Thanks so very much for your nice compliments and kind words. I’m glad you can take the photos you do. Why did you have to get off your motorcycle? I hope it’s only temporary.

Richard, being an artist first and a photographer second makes it easy to have an eye for photography. Composition is easy for me. Thank you very much for your positive comment.

Yes phlash46 I love photography..........I hope it shows!!! I have a “passion” for it.
I would hope that all my UHH friends viewing my photos can be inspired to become better photographers and improve.
I try to learn through viewing other photographers work that inspire me. Right here on UHH there are some amazing photographers that we all can learn from!
More good stuff, Brent, but not surprising given your obvious joy in seeking and capturing.

No. 2 is a blast. No. 3 is my very favorite (so many little things). No. 9 is also very interesting. Love the texture/shapes. As usual, all of them have a great story and say so much. I agree with Mike. You not only show a job in seeking something to say but are exceptional at it.
