When I rotate my camera to vertical I rotate clockwise (from behind), my right elbow ends up close to my ribs, my right wrist is a bit below my left hand, my left hand barely changes position. I’m not dumb enough to rotate counter clockwise so my right elbow ends up in the air.
To keep the subject level, I use the viewfinder for its intended purpose.

And which eye do you use? Yes, it’s more stable than an overhand grip that lifts the elbow, but still not as stable as a straight on “landscape” grip.

I'm dumb then, I rotate counter-clockwise as having my right hand on top is easier on my wrist.
I'll continue to be dumb thank you.

If you can hold it steady that way, it cannot be dumb. I find it uncomfortable and not very stable, so it would make no sense for me to rotate counter-clockwise. .

Clockwise and right eye seems a lot more uncomfortable to me. Most comfortable and most stable? A vertical grip.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your statement: "I’m not dumb enough to rotate counter clockwise so my right elbow ends up in the air."

My case exactly, I don’t really have big hand but it help stabilize the camera with my whole hand

I find that a vertical grip makes it much easier to hold the camera truly vertical as well as maintaining more precise control over the shutter release. The extra battery is really just a side benefit provided by the grip, although it can be a very useful benefit.
