Hello Friends,
I recently upgraded to an iPhone 11 from my iPhone 6. With my 6 I could plug it into my windows pc windows 8 and I could see the drive and pull them onto a folder on my computer. Yesterday I had to plug them into a mac and airdrop 280 photos which took a lot of time. I then moved them to a flash drive then onto my pc. I have tried Itunes and the cloud and don't have much luck either. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Mick

Plug your iPhone into the USB port, and it will show up on your desktop as a hard drive, you can just drag them from the phone to your computer.

I have only been able to airdrop 1 or 2 photos at a time with the new iPhone 11, otherwise it changes the file to HEIC. Emailing them through gmail was even slower. Thanks Domcomm, I'll try that too.

I have tried this and it does not show up as a drive. Same with our family's iPhone XR and iPhone 8

I was able to move around 30 in airdrop at a time. Long division as it seems to be going backward.

There is an app called PhotoSync. Download it onto your iPhone and then your iMac. You start the app on your computer first and then start it on your iPhone. It is very easy to use. All you do is select the images you want to download from your iPhone and then select the iMac as the target and viola.... I use this all the time and it really goes very fast. It doesn't take hardly anytime to download 10 images, before I can hardly notice.

Apple changed their image format. Not jpeg or tiff any longer. Some weird junk of their own. The latest Samsung phones have probably better cameras!

Confused. I have I phone 11 and a 27” MAC. I take a photo with my phone and within seconds it appears on my MAC via the cloud. No apps, no Dropbox, no air drop, no problems

I have an iPhone 11 MAX and every time I plug it into my Windows 10 computer a window pops up and asks me what I want to do. I just click on "open to view files".

I have an iPhone 10 and photos are immediately recognized in Windows 10. Every time I plug the phone into the USB to charge it, I am presented with an opportunity to import photos. And, when I start Lightroom, the phone images are available for import into LR. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for your situation, but please know that it can be done.
