Dear Customers,
We regret to inform you that as of December 20, 2019 Cameta Camera has ceased all retail and on-line sales.
The present owner is looking to retire, and a potential new owner is looking to take over and continue the business. However, due to formalities involved in such a change, this may not occur until Spring 2020. In addition, it is likely it will be a different sales team, but we cannot say for sure at this time
We would like to express our gratitude towards our customers for their support during our 36 years of operation. This has been a labor of love for not only the owner, but for the staff as well. Cameta Camera would not have been successful if not for your loyalty.

Cameta was always good to me over the years. I'm sorry to see the original team go. If it is reopened under new management, I hope they continue the same excellent customer service that the old team practiced.

I bought a refurbished camera from them three years ago. Great service and no problems whatsoever with the camera.

Every transaction I had with this fine firm was excellent. Always very fair on trades, and shipping new product to me was usually delivered overnight. I will miss the great team that supported me over the years. I just hope that if there are new owners, they do not destroy the fine name established by those that dealt fairly and honestly with their customer base. Case in point: remember when Abe’s of Maine was in Maine and they treated their customers with respect?

A shame. Cameta was one of the good guys, trustworthy and reliable as Adorama and B & H.
Let us hope we don't see an Abe's of Maine-type change for the worse when new management comes in.
