This is an audio equipment question. Several years ago I purchased a pair of Acoustic Research (the brand is most likely defunct by now) wireless outdoor speakers. AR produced several models over the years; each transmitter has a model # matching the speaker model # as well as varying in transmitter shape. What the transmitters have in common are they transmit @ 900mz and for audio output plug into the headphone output located on the front of most receivers/amplifiers. What I want is another transmitter, for convenience use on another floor. Been following auction listings on eBay for a while. Several models are listed, but not mine. The question is : given the above specs, is it likely that the transmitters would work on more than one model, i.e. interchangeable? Some of the model #s listed on eBay are close to mine.

Years ago I had two brands, they used the same frequency, either transmitter worked.
I forget the frequency they used.

AR is still very much alive. It is now VOXX Acoustic Research and is still in Cambridge , MA.

Thanks. Glad to know that. Now, if only I can get a warm and fuzzy about my question. I could take a chance and buy off eBay, since the prices are pennies on the dollar. If it doesn't work, well no big loss.
