The lower Yakima Valley was seeing commercial apricot orchards starting to bloom due to six warm weeks; now it's spitting snow and overnight lows will be in 20's for several nights.
Ouch. That is what we always worried about. After a certain point in bud/blossom development temperatures in the 20s are a big problem. I remember many a time sitting up all night watching the temps and moving the wind machines around the orchard.
I want to know how the swirly effect was done, as well.
