Quick, go to a news stand and buy a bunch of newspapers. Yes, the news stand, the e-paper doesn't work.

And yes a few times on the farm and when in the Army the outhouse had stacks of old newspapers.

I stopped by to pick up a few things my wife needed and, yup, plenty of food. Saw the isle and it made me chuckle. I have a good stock of TP and tissue; another item that is in short supply in a lot of stores LOL.

Shame Sears & J.C. Whitney are gone...free catalogs had benefits!

Yep, them too, but the newspaper or old hunting and fishing magazines gave you something to read until done. I put a large shinny tin can made into a lantern with a large candle in the out house (box of wooden matches on the just right sized 2x4 "shelf" it was attached to) at my Grandparents farm. Besides if it was night I could tell if that furry thing that rubbed against my ankle was one of the farm cats or something less desirable. Into the 60's long after the farm had indoor plumbing and a bathroom added the outhouse was still used in daylight, esp in summer. That water it used to flush came from a cistern after the deep well failed and it was too expensive to dig down 100 feet to see if it was the electric pump that died or a pipe. By that time a guy in town had a large tanker truck and would deliver city water to fill your cistern(s). The farm had two cisterns one outside by the kitchen and one in the middle of the large enclosed back porch. As a kid I asked about the enclosed one, seems it was the original from before the house was enlarged. They had intended to block it off and put floor over it but Grandma decided it was great for the washing machine which was on the porch and for rainy days before the electric pump and indoor plumbing was put in around the late 40's when I was a toddler.

Interesting. I was at Sam’s in Fishers (Indianapolis) M Wednesday, and they had palates-full of the stuff.

About a year ago I bought a jumbo pack of Scott bathroom tissue (36 rolls). It is just me, my wife, and an occasional visitor and we still have about 8 rolls left. The single ply works and goes along wayyyyy.

Ditto, lasts a LONG time! We also get tissues, paper towels, Zip-Locks, and many other things, including food stuffs in bulk. My box of kitchen trash bags lasts two years and is MUCH cheaper than any grocery store.

I bought a package of TP at the local Walmart a couple days ago and they had a lot of the stuff left. No hand sanitizer, however.
