But is it not possible that without the "fearmongering" and lockdowns, Covid19 could be responsble for even greater numbers, and that, in any case, these would be "extras"?
In the UK we hear that people in the US cannot afford annual flu jabs, and that they are not very effective anyway?

The flu jabs are based on what they THINK will be going around.
Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don't...
So they lock-down this week, what about 2-3 weeks from now.
Is it going to go away in a week?

Well - I suppose if what I hear (or read) and believe, wasn't true, that would be a problem. So far as Covid19 is concerned - what we do know is that it kills the old and the sick, where as for younger and healthier people it simply causes a couple of weeks feeling ill.
