In the last 2 weeks I have had 4 major photo shoot Canceled due to coronavirus outbreak. Most schools and local events have been canceled in my city in the United States. I was thinking of ways to turn this coronavirus outbreak into something positive, any ideals out there? I be happy to hear any other photographers having cancellations in photo shoots. Thanks for your input.

For a positive we are doing what we normally do with no changes.
Starting with spring cleaning of the yard and prepare to open the pool for the summer and have BBQ events.
In other words looking to a great summer rather than holeing up.

Let's see; thousands of people who have died because of the virus. The untold Billions of lost money in the world stock markets. Lost revenue from who knows how many sporting events. The NCAA may play B-Ball in empty arenas.
Lost wages. That would be you and many more. Flat to diminished sales in many sectors.
Positive spin.....???? Where?? There is nothing positive about this.

Positive could be shopping for seniors that should not go out of the house. Helping families that have sick people in their house. Taking care of pets that the owners cannot because of the virus. Just do things for others that cannot do things for themselves now or they just need a bit of help now.
That is not insane, that is helping and doing something positive. If you want, take pictures of the good things you have done and in the future you can remember the good things done.

The positive is that a "plague", like the Coronavirus, helps us get a new perspective on life, and a chance to to be civil, and empathetic towards our fellow humans, and to appreciate what is really important.

The NBA has suspended the rest of the season until further notice. Can you imagine the lost revenue? This is unrecoverable money.
AND The St. Paddy's Day Parade in NYC has been canceled!!!!!! Another source of revenue lost. I have taken part in 40 ST. Paddy day parades. Damn!!!

I guess that is true for those that don’t die.
The dead people—not so much.

Positive? Do you mean like how we are now going to be forced to learn, hopefully, how to deal with a pandemic? Let's hope we are all smart enough to figure it out, because this will almost certainly not be the last one. Other then that, I can't think of a damn thing positive about the death and havoc that is occuring.

Ideas, I like the response to get outside and get things ready for the next season. We can also shoot things in our yard, spring flowers and birds, set up an outside spot for portraits if your bent is for portraiture. Entertainment if needed..........go through old image files, re-work some, delete some, change your filing system to be more user-friendly........make sure all of your gear is cleaned, and ready to be used........lead small groups of photographers on local outside shoots. Take an online photography class.......might be a good time to watch some of the u-tube videos that you have not had time to view. There are many things we can do to redirect our attention associated with photography, without having to become negative about our response to this virus that seems to be unstoppable for a few months. Be outside more, whatever reason takes you outside, and be inside with groups of people less. Whatever your bent is, I'm sure there are activities enough to keep each of us busy without having to concentrate so much on this virus.
