Olympus OM-D E-M10 II Very Low Battery Life

All of a sudden my battery life has gone down to 2 hours or less. Bought a new battery. Same issue continues. Camera gets warm at grip area. Reverted all settings to Default with no improvement. Anyone have similar issue? Solution? Currently on a trip so carrying 6 batteries with me. Camera seems to function OK. Help is appreciated.
Thanks

Go on line and see where in the menus the time settings are for the various shutoffs. If they seem fine, then it may be time to ship it back to Olympus for a check up after your trip. If the grip warms up, the camera must be drawing enough current to develop that much heat. And it is not good to pump that kind of current anywhere in whatever circuits although it sound like the circuits are doing what they are supposed to in handling it..

Are you using continuous focusing? That uses lots of power.

You also might try turning the LED panel into the back of the camera.

Yep. If a new battery did the same thing, I would guess it's a camera issue. I had fast battery drain once on my DSLR. But, I was using live view too consistently. And autofocusing, added to the problem. Also, some cheap aftermarket batteries could be the problem. I use only OEM and Watson batteries.

Thanks for reply
No. Default settings. Been using this camera without any issue for a few years. My concern is the heat it is generating. Guessing some tiny motor is stuck on.

Wifi turned on? C-AF instead of S-AF?

over using C- AF may be the issue. I opt for S-AF/MF.Might be worth a try.

Don’t use CAF at all. Settings are at Default
