What an amazing trip! Just started processing photos. They say, "it takes a village . . .", well, it took many fellow Hogs to have me be prepared. I am definitely not a professional but do like what I took. Any constructive comments would be most appreciated.
As a child, I spent my summers on Long Island Sound in Fairfield CT. I love the power of the water (from a distance!). The North Atlantic proved to be most fascinating. This is my favorite photo! I was sitting on a broken off piece of ice from a glacier. I was very close to the North Atlantic!
I had tried to attach the larger file (24 mg) but it appears it was too large.
Many thanks to everyone who gave freely of their expertise!
Settings were: Canon 5DM4, f/8, ISO 1/800, 105 mm, and Luminar 4.
It is an amazing place, isn't it?
Hope to see more images.
Aptly named from this posted shot.

Longshadow, Iceland is amazing...as one Icelander said, "it is amazing in its nothingness". We were looking at a barren ice/snow covered acres of land abutting a glacier. so many different things to see...and the people were so friendly. The food was delicious too!

Richard1947, once a person is out of the city, Iceland is so starkly beautiful. And, then we come upon places like the geysers or the Gullfoss waterfalls or the black beaches with sneaker waves; it all is captivating!
