Once again you guys have come through for me with your comments and suggestions. With your help I was able to place in both of these categories. You don't know how much I appreciate it. R.G. your processing comments and Linda your insightful input was especially helpful. While I don't get the chance to post or comment as much as I used to I still learn something every time from the wonderfully talented folks in this forum.
Hugs to you all,
Keni

Keni, it has been an absolute joy to see you grow and develop your eye and skills so quickly and beautifully. Congratulations on these results! I'm confident that much more success is in your future and am looking forward to following your journey 🤗🤗
Congratulations on your successes. They won't be the last. You're reaping the benefits of being open to advice and suggestions.

Congratulations, Keni!
That 2nd Place finish should also have been a First!
Keni, you have improved as a photographer but your real treasure is that you are so willing to expand your scope and try things. Thanks for sharing with us.
Congratulations on your photographic journey. This is just one of the many steps up the photography ladder. As you climb it you will be able to flourish and share your journey with the rest of the hog. Keep it going.
Wow - these are stunning! Nicely done!
Congratulations Keni. I really like the second one.

Thanks Linda! Wow its been almost 2 years now since I joined UHH. I have watched a lot of tutorials and done a lot of reading in that time but the feedback and instruction I have gotten from UHH has been the most valuable to me. Before I joined the camera club UHH was the only place I felt comfortable sharing my photos because I knew that (for the most part) the responses would be honest and direct but kind. I hope some day I can pay it forward for someone else.

R.G. one day I will send you a signed Keni original so you can eventually sell it and buy maybe a can of beans.
Seriously though, one of the things you advised me to do on the first photo was to darken the edges to help focus the viewers attention. That was noticed and commented on by the judge. I have learned from you that it is the culmination of the subtle things we do in processing that can have the biggest impact to our work. Here's to keeping it subtle my friend.

Thanks! I agree but then I am a little biased.

Thank you Mike. You have to keep reaching and learning. I will "not go gently into the night".
