Suggestions for photo printer. Probably won’t be heavy use. I’ve heard good recommendations for the Canon PixmaPro 100. Wondering if anyone has other recommendations around that price range of $400 or less. Thanks to all who are take time to respond.

I just bought the eco tank et-7700 as it was on sale for $450... all I can say is wow. I’m impressed with the amount of ink it came with and the pictures it prints are phenomenal in my opinion.

Seems my last printer was always out of ink...

Edited to say not a dedicated photo printer but it does have 5 inks and does a great job printing!

Look no further than the Canon. It's inexpensive and prints out great pictures. It needs Canon photo paper to really perform at it's best. I use it for 8 1/2 x 11 up to and including 13 x 19. Replacement inks can be had on line from vendors such as Ink Technology at a reasonable price.

I have a Canon Pro100, been in use for 5 years without any issues. And, you do not need to use Canon paper for the best results. The majority of the time, I print on Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper with no problems.

You can also use printing profiles for the Canon from various paper sources.

Here are some things to consider before buying an inkjet printer.

Now through March 31, 2020 we are offering the Canon Pixma PRO 10 printer at $379.99 before rebate (Canon sells it on their website for $699.99). If you purchase the printer plus a package of 13x19x50 sheets of Canon Semi-Gloss or Luster paper, $50, Canon will send you a $250 mail in rebate! This is a pigment based printer and is always reviewed very well. Your final cost is $129.99 plus the $50 paper package after mail in rebate! And if you purchase the printer with a qualifying Canon camera, the rebate increases to $350!

Ditto on the Canon Pro100 - best bargain in 13x19 pictures. Unlike Epsons, you don't need to worry about clogging. Also, while Canon papers perform great with this printer, I mostly use a variety of Red River papers using the profiles Red River supplies.

"Probably won’t be heavy use". You may want to consider a commercial lab. COSTCO gets good ratings. There are many others. When you go with a good photo printer you’re looking at buying gear to calibrate your monitor and getting down into the weeds of which color profile to use, paper profile, yadda yadda yadda. Otherwise you’re not getting the most out of you printer or your photos.

The Pixma Pro 100 is a great deal. Especially when Canon is running one of their great rebate programs.
