Rain, rain go away, come again some other day! Oh well, at least it's not snow or ice and its not a frog-choker either. Why doesn't it at least rain with the sun shining? It does do that at times and that would truly help lift one's spirit.

So...in the mean time, here's a few from those much nicer days to be out with camera in hand.

There never seems to be a shortage of little creatures in your viewfinder Sippy. The couple of Bombardiers (I think) in #3 seem to be on a date. 😁 Great set.

Thanks, I find it a treat when I can find a wildflower with an insect on it going about its daily business and I enjoy sharing them.

I made it a point to go out each day possible with camera in hand. At times it was so hot and humid that I looked like I spent the morning in a swimming pool rather than in the weeded fields.

Last year was a sad time around here for the flood waters stayed high for months and most of my favorite places to visit were underwater. My hopes are high that this spring and summer will fair much better.

Beautiful images in every way, Sippy, and have you noticed...the bugs either match or complement their surroundings, which makes them even more pleasing to view!

Thanks, Donna. I always look forward to your replies. Mother Nature has a varied color pallet that she paints with both a broad brush and with delicate details. She also has a talent for selecting the wardrobes of her critters with an excellent eye of complimentary colors. At times she selects a wardrobe that is more concealing so that her subjects can go about their daily business undetected.

That Mother Nature is really quite a special gal..!

Sippy, maybe photos from the past but they are still great.

Thanks, sometimes I need a refresher on what I've done and how I did it and thumbing through and sharing some from the summer past helps me remember just what that was.

This is a beautiful set Gary. Excellent lighting. Of course I'm partial to the wonderful shot of the female Eastern Amberwing. Fine work.
