Hervic Zivnon 23mm

I bought a used Nikon D300 to have converted to full spectrum. I decided to take it for a spin yesterday and took this shot. I also had never used this lens yet. I bought it for a few bucks on eBay. The far lake shore is about 1/2 mile away. Of course on a crop sensor the lens is using just the "sweet spot", but I am fairly impressed with the result. I shot it wide open, and handheld. The full name on the lens is Hervic Zivnon 1:3.5 23mm TMC. If you like old manual focus lenses this one is a gem.

The dull, overcast conditions makes it difficult to determine if the lens is sharp. Take a photo of something that is much closer to the camera and under bright conditions.

Yes, that does look very nice, good for you to come away with a keeper, hope you'd got a heck of a deal as well! I always enjoy shooting with old manual focus lenses!
