I like to photograph flowers, insects, landscapes, wild animals, people photography. So, I wanted to break out of that mold and create a unique image. We have a potato grater to make pancakes. The creative light went on in my head. I call it Magic Tomato Grater.

I submitted it to my camera clubs DPI competition and got "Best Of Show"
My goal is to become more creative.

Great image - great imagination.
When I tried it I didn't get small tomatos - just a mess.

You need a magic grater

Creativity is a difficult thing. It really begins from certain concepts that challenge the clarity of thought. One is to take a subject that has some history to artist and in particular those of photographers. One of the classic subjects of photographers is the egg. Paul Outerbridge jr and Edward Steichen had a challenge over the classic egg subject, the theme was "Triumph of the Egg", in the end there was no question that Outerbridge's image was beyond a doughy vastly superior to that of Steichen's. Perhaps a look at these two interpretations of that theme might help in your personal exploration of creativity.

Thanks for your input on Paul Outerbridge and Edward Steichen Triumph of an egg.I looked at. Reminds of a simple image like Edward Westons Pepper 30.

Stan, I can easily see why this took "Best of Show". Creative, well-executed, and though simple it's imaginative.
