I just updated several of my computers to the latest major update and yep it got one of mine. When the computer rebooted "bootmbr not found". After many hours of trying to find a solution I got the problem resolved. Had to use a setup disk to get to the command prompt where I could run "diskpart". After selecting the disk, the volume, and partition I was able to reset the boot partition to "active". Reboot and walla problem fixed.
