Just a duck photo, more of an abstract. Migration starting
What were your settings on the lense and camera. Nice capture
Thank you both. I was out shooting landscape pics that morning. Shooting a Nikon D500 @1600 ISO, lens: Nikon 18-300 mm. Later in the morning I visited the river as the waterfowl are starting their migration and have seen trumpeter swans recently. I was fiddling with my long lens (200 - 500 mm) on a D7200 and I caught these guys coming in. So I grabbed my D500 (@ 300mm, f6.3, 1/2000 sec) and started shooting. Typically when shooting BIF I would be set at f5 to f8, ISO about 1000 so shooting at 1/500 to 1/1000 sec depending on light conditions, continuous focus and a cluster of (D500 four points) focus points. I did edit this raw file quite a bit however it being a raw file captured enough to allow the edits and produce a reasonable image. I admit it was kinda a fluke but I'll take it. Regards to you both Mic & UTM
Thanks for the information.
