At a student show of high school photography, they had a model come in for students or guests to photograph. The show was located at our community college where I am taking a photo class, so I joined in the fun. These are a couple of the portraits I took of the young lady. For these photos we were using blue and orange gel to add some drama.

The skin color is too gothic for me. Blue looks corpse like.

At first glance I'm wanting to tear these images apart because of the strange color. But as you describe the situation and I look closely, I like them. The models' expression matches the mood of the lighting. The one thing that needs attention is the hard curved shadow on the forehead in picture #2.

Thanks Tom,the shadow is distracting. I don't usually use gels on the face but we were looking for something different and the straight portraits looked very boring to me.

Thanks PixelStan77, I would rather photograph people than landscapes.

I like the second one; the first has an eerie look to it.
