In case you wonder where I go when I fall off the grid....
Here is where I am!
40 miles up the Cayapas River in NW Ecuador at a primitive lodge. We do medical campaigns there, serving the black and chachi populations that live along the river. It's the most fun I've ever had!!!!! (Except perhaps for riding race horses!)
My whole-hearted thanks to you for volunteering for this type of humanitarian aid.
And the pictures show a real slice of reality. Thanks for sharing.
Mark

Thanks, Mike. It's hard to call it work; it's such fun.
How wonderful that you can contribute that way and love every minute of it.

Thanks, Katy. It's always an adventure.
Your pictures from your last trip were wonderful. Looking forward to seeing some from this trip. Your people photos in particular.
And I'm sure the people there appreciate it more than we do. So glad you enjoy this so much. Sharing with others brings much joy & satisfaction to one.

I don't get much opportunity to take people pictures while there, usually. I'm too busy. This year I loaned out my cameras to a fellow whose job it was to take pictures. So I have lots.
Thank yu so much.

Their clothes are always interesting. Most are obtained from free handouts and they seldom match. Some don't fit. That little gal obviously had on a new (purchased) dress! That's rare. Thanks!
