After seeking the non-traditional shots around Moab for a day, on the next day I gave in to my wife's desire to visit some of the parks before going home. This day was bright, without the great clouds present in my first set. These are photos of the area just before entering the official boundaries of Dead Horse State Park and the Island in the Sky portion of Canyonlands National Park.

Utah is one of my favorite places to take pictures. The red rock, white snow combo is always so beautiful. The national parks there are so amazing. Your shots remind me of so many trips there with my family. My first experience in Utah was Zion in the 1970's. My older brother took me there, and I will ALWAYS think of him when I visit Utah. He passed away in 2003.
Thank you!
I appreciate those thumbs.

Thank you for looking. The parks are still here, come see us.
Such a great place to live with such great scenery. You do it justice, Mike.

Thanks, Ken. I thank her every day just for sticking with me.
We visited there a few years back and couldn't believe the beauty - I must have taken 2k shots. Yours are all excellent Mike.

Thanks for the generous comment, Elliott.
Mike, why do you torture me? You make me homesick whenever you post photos like this.
Gorgeous series, Mike. Great detail and color.
