Bought a new camera

... and these are a sampling of the hockey pictures I took with it. I bought a used (E+) Nikon D750 from Adorama; had a shutter count of only 693 when I got it! Using it with the Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 D AF ED I had been using with my D7200. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the pictures. They seem to have much more detail and be a little sharper than with the D7200. Same rink, so still shooting at 1/1000, f/2.8, ISO 6400.

Great series!
Hockey’s a tough sport to shoot.

Looking good - the D750 is still a great camera.

Glad your playing with your new toy. Seems to me the shots are soft. Hockey rinks are tough.

Yeah, I imagine some of it is from the glass at the rink. It's tough to find a spot that is somewhat clean and not marred by a puck. And I've found a some angles I get a reflection of the metal bleachers that is tough to remove.

But after reading your remark, I went back into Lightroom and found that the default sharpening I had set up had reset to zero. That probably accounts for some of it too! Thanks!

It's a learning experience for us all my friend.

The only fast Lens I own is my Nikon 50mm 1.8g, one day I would like to own a Nikon 2.8 24-70 or even the Nikon 2.8 70-200 (300), lots of $$$ for an amateur photographer.

I would also like to own the f/2.8 70-200 lens, but like you, the $$$ is a bit much right now. I found a very nice f/2.8 80-200 (2-ring) on eBay that works well and was relatively inexpensive. Your camera must have the focus motor built-in to use this lens, though.
