Osprey & Red Shouldered Hawk captured with Nikon D850 & Tamron 600G2...Hand held at different distances and different perspectives.
Reconvic,
Whenever I see images so startling I always ask about the conditions of the shoot and the gear used.
Please help me out here.
Thanks,

Image 1 was taken when there was a mating ritual in progress and the hawks didn't even like my wife and I in near proximity, and dive bombed us.
Image 2 was captured in ranch environment and was launching off of a tall pole
Image 3 is a female Osprey that flew out of the nest with a headless fish and was bringing it back to her babies
Image 4 is a male Osprey tha had been sitting in a tree munching (head consumed first) and flew down below the path we were on and gave me this different perspective.
Thanks, photodoc….

Nikon D850 and the Tamron 150-600G2...All shots were taken just shy of 600 mm, manual mode, auto Iso, 1/1000th, f6.5. ..You can tell that they are pretty heavily cropped but the camera and lens usually come through with some pretty sharp images. We seldom can brace and never have the opportunity to use a tripod. Have tried using TC but images always suffer. I like the full frame vs a crop camera because many times I can pull an image out of the corner of a shot that wouldn't be possible with a crop camera. And then, AND THEN when you don't crop you've got 45 mps!!!

Great series, Victor!
#1 is certainly impactful, but to my eye #2 is an exquisitely beautiful image of a hawk in flight; excellent composition, focus and exposure unimprovable, and against a beautiful sky!
