Here are a couple more shots of wildlife up here.
#1 A young bison near the Gardner, MT (north) entrance to Yellowstone. He was interested in some of the tourist traffic and gave me a good opportunity. When enlarged a lot, it seems a bit soft. Any thoughts?
#2 Swans in the Yellowstone River, January 2017. I experimented some to try including some of the environment, but the idea didn't work. The banks were too far to be included and not have a really small group of the swans. So, I chose to just emphasize the birds, two adults and a sub-adult. I think this is better focused. Suggestions welcomed.
Nice set. Trumpeter Swans I do believe.
Thanks for the kind words. You are right, they are trumpeter swans. There is also a very large population that congregates at the Gray's Lake wildlife Refuge in southeastern Idaho. This was the first time I had an opportunity to photograph them and I am so glad circumstances were favorable.
