After watching the video about the "OY" snow plow this was the next video on youtube. It is professionally filmed from the cab. It is an amazing video of the operation of these locomotives and the climb through these mountains. I started watching it and I literally could not stop. Some of the scenes from the cab on the high line where you are looking straight down from the cab are fantastic. Get your self a large cup of coffee and enjoy the operation. I would like to go out there and see this soo much after watching the video. The mountains and scenery is just beautiful. Enjoy if you haven't seen this before.

I did the trip in the 90’s up and back from Durango. The video brought back memories. I shot 2 rolls of film. Definitely a “bucket list” experience. You do not have to do both ways which takes the whole day. You can take a fast bus back to Durango. The whole trip, Durango & Silverton are photo ops.
