Thank you, I'd say I'm pretty happy now. It wasn't working at all with this lens (front and back focused), but after camera firmware update it seems to have kicked in gear.

That is the same experience that I had with my a7R3 and 100-400 lens.

Interesting... I think they slip in fixes that they deny are happening and call them "Improves the overall stability of the camera"

Some one ,earlier , was inquiring about this lens and your images have answered that question. The quality is superb as far as I can tell. These are very well done for a lens with that much reach. I am impressed with it.

Thanks Folks! The first two are of the same bird. The second is just another pose, just like the first but cropped in heavily for the head shot.
