Love the carvings on the last one - are they wood or metal?

All of you are posting such unique doors - style, color, age. Doors are one of my favorite things. Unfortunately, I won't be able to write comments individually as I usually do. Don't take it personal. I appreciate the time it takes each of you to find your doors and post. So please know that I am looking, enjoying seeing some folks that haven't been present in a while and am as busy as you are. Wish life would slow down....

An old "fish house" in the area - a well known icon. Would have been where fishermen cleaned, gutted fish right off their boats.

Our house is an old house and all of the interior doors are wooden fourpanelled doors. My favourite door has a strange door frame which extends into the slant of the ceiling.

Great topic Pat. Fits right in the Architecture Photo Class the week.
Here's a couple of 1840 to 1870 entry ways. The last three were from an area built around 1880.

Nice group, Steve! Fancy 1800's creations!

Well, March arrived rather quickly. Seems Christmas has barely passed....This challenge is all about doors, gates, entrances, ornamental parts of doors etc. The first 2 are door and detail to a Bed and Breakfast in an historic shipbuilding town where we stayed last week. The last is a gated entrance and maine door of an abandoned house.

Nice ones Pat.
