For me, this photograph perfectly symbolizes the moment that my dog, Duncan met his death just a day ago. I held him in my arms for the last two hours of his life and he was still there when the veterinarian administered the final solution that alleviated his pain and suffering. I was reminded of the words, "Father, into Your Hands I commend my spirit" and the image revealed just how quickly thereafter he was in the Hands of God.

Thank you, Xanadu. There is a great emptiness in my house at the moment.

Beautiful tribute. Have been in your shoes several times, it is the most painful thing to loose a family member. Condolences.

Thank you, Beth. Regretfully, I have been here before. This one was especially hard because he had been with for almost 13 years (all of my white hair years as I am now 72). I called Duncan my "son". After my first child was born, a girl, my wife said "No more", so Duncan was the little boy in my life.
