Rather similar in some respects to another of my recent posts, this is far from perfect but it's served its purpose and I need to move on! Gets like that sometimes when you're compositing - as a few here will be more than aware.
It uses some characters you may have seen before and was an exercise with brushes. Your views upon it and critique would be most welcome.

Highly engaging! Fun to have that first impression of WOW, then to be able to appreciate the imagination and talent it takes to create; and then to examine the more technical details.

I like the subtle moonlight on the roof of the vehicle and the man's shoulders, but not the blue around the woman's head and hat. The car's headlight is very bright, and while it may be realistic, it kind of distracts from the rest of the scene.

Overall, the dark rich colors and compositional elements are marvelous. I am going to miss our outlaws - unless they are undercover fuzz?? You may not be finished yet, Dave 😊

Undercover fuzz Linda? That sounds very English!
What about the reflection in the front wing? It’s a warp exercise. I reckon the whole cars a bit shiny - but I needed that to do the reflection.

I looked at the plane, then decided maybe you mean the "wing" of the automobile? Looks good to me!

Oh, what you call that bit over there - I’ve got the fenders and the hood thing but what is it for the wings?..

I believe it's fenders

Another dramatic scene skilfully created. I agree with Linda's comment about the blue light round the woman's head. Would "hinkey" be the right word? The man standing beside the car is half bright and half dark, and the woman should look similar. They look like they have dissimilar lighting, mainly because of the halo round the woman's head and shoulders.

I believe we both refer to bumpers as bumpers, and fenders are wings (or electric guitars ).

Never heard of ‘hinkey’ RG?? And I’ll stand corrected on the fenders thing!
The girl’s backlighting was a problem throughout and I should probably have chosen a different image. I have several of her in similar poses but all taken more or less in the same area. What I really wanted was Simon in a trench coat and trilby, sort of Bogey style, and Claire looking a bit more demure. Then it would have been a Casablanca moment. Still, it’s got the aeroplane thing out of my system and I can move on.

Looking forward to your next project, Dave!

btw, it is hinky, without an E. Meaning:

(of a person) dishonest or suspect.
"he knew the guy was hinky"

(of an object) unreliable.
"my brakes are a little hinky"

And that concludes today's lesson in American English (or not)

This is another great composite. Your blending is great. Moving on as you mentioned is so hard to do but has to be done. How long did it get to this point Dave? Do you mind if I download it and play with it a bit before I make any suggestions?

Not sure how long I've fiddled with it Stan - its been one that I've shelved and returned to. I have one or two like that, where I loose my way then the penny drops and I'm off again. It started as purely an exercise piece, hence I wasn't too bothered with the original selections - and thats what has lead to its problems.
Yes, by all means have a go at it - and do post the results if you want to, I'd be interested to them. Thanks for your interest in my attempts, its much appreciated.
