A 'Purist' should read no farther - this scene is "special" only because of the situation.
My wife and I received this clock as a wedding present in 1979. Our cat Velcro, who died Jan 9 {and whose place was taken by Annie, used to sit on the buffet and study the clock, but in the nearly forty-one years since then, this is the first time a feline has ever thought of sitting on it.

Thank you both for your comments.
This photo is a result of a policy I put in place some nine years ago. We knew a cat we called "Magic", another 'tortie', was sick when she spread some potting soil around our dining room floor - then rolled around in it. I yelled at her ..... when she died less than a week later, I deeply regretted yelling at her because I had left the potting soil where she could get at it, and made a policy that I would take a photograph of "stunts" first, hoping I would cool off in the meantime. In Magic's case, i guess she just wanted to touch some form of "outdoors" one more time before she went - in Annie's case, she is young and is still exploring our world.
