Hi, I am fairly new to this forum. I have taken pictures for years but always used "Auto" mode. I recently took a photography class (only 3 hrs.) and am trying to moved from "Auto" mode to "Manual". I get very confused at times! The attached photo was taken at the "Photo Shoot" after the class. I knew this particular photo was overexposed and thought it would be a good one to work on in Photoshop Elements 10 (also new for me). I don't know if I over did it or not! What do you think?

Hi Rexene.... Nice shot, and good start at tweaking it a bit. It seems like maybe your post processing might have brightened the face a tad....
if I was going to try something to fix this in Elements, I would make a duplicate layer, select the "burn" tool with a fairly large soft brush, select midtones, with about 30-40% exposure and try to make a subtle sweep over the whole face. If it looks too obvious, then you can tone it down using the "opacity" slider on the new layer. Just what I might try....overall very nice shot though.
