these are beautiful, Bill_de! I love the 3D appearance. Do you use peanut butter or something to attract them to your tree branch and stump? You have a wonderful variety, colorful and great clarity. Well done!

Those are some great photos. I down sized to a Z7 and my core lenses for my needs but added the Z50 and lenses set as my every day carry around in my vehicle with no regrets. So enjoy your Z50 and good shooting. ZLZ7

Thanks Ken. The Goldfinches are starting to replace the Juncos ... Spring is almost here.

Thanks very much Carla.

The branch in the first picture is attached to a stand I made using a flag pole holder. That allows me to change branches. The stand has a tray on top that I keep filled with sunflower seeds. The considerate birds wait on the branch for their turn at the seed.

The second picture is a log that I stand on end. There are holes drilled in top and down the sides that I fill with cheap Walmart chunky peanut butter. The birds love it.

Both feeders are right next to each other allowing me to shoot everything through an open garage window. When the weather gets nice I move them so I can shoot from my front porch.

I appreciate the comment. I haven't given up my DSLRs with their long lenses, but the Z50 with the kit lenses is fun.

An excellent blind where you can be watchful and unintrusive and take advantage of all of your feathered friends! Great ideas! Thank you for the info!
