Top floor of a three-story house. The lady who owns it is ... comfortable.

Those are ALL beautiful! I think I like the 2nd and 3rd the best for their mood. <3 That's quite a view. We live in Silverdale, so are not all that far from you. Close enough that your "lighting" looks familiar.

Thanks, stinkbug. (Your user name made me LOL.) I've struggled with how to render pic #2. The sky was absolutely yellow when I shot it, but it looked artificial when I looked at it on the monitor, so I actually toned it down. I love seeing how much the seabirds enjoy the storm. I guess it's because the storm roils the water and brings fish closer to the surface.

You can thank my maternal grandfather for that. ;-) When trying to come up with a unique username at Gmail, I'd decided to use his nickname for me when I was four. Well... it wasn't exactly a nickname, but he'd call me that to get me to giggle. I'm guessing he did it to most of his grandchildren... not sure.

It would be interesting to see that second (yellow) one the way you remember it in your mind's eye... for comparison. We won't judge you for over-processing. Sometimes reality is over the top... and gorgeous!

Thanks, mjones, it's my favorite also. I took at least 5 shots of the scene, but loved the one with the four birds over the observer.

Thanks, Blair. I've always been a big fan of JMW Turner's sea paintings, but the beauty of God's creation can't be beat.
