I would like to get some help choosing a ultra wide angle lens that will take filters , I already have a Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 which gives very good images but won't except any filters because of the bulbus front element . Does anyone out there have any suggestions , thanx in advance.

Don’t know if it’s wide enough for you, but I have the Nikon 16/35 and it works a charm. The VR is quite good. Good luck sorting out your needs.

Do you have a DX or an FX camera? That impacts your lens choice.

So. since you already have a Nikon lens, can we assume you are looking for a lens compatible with a Nikon F mount??

How about a couple step-up rings for a spacer & wider filter?

As you already have an excellent lens one of the square 'filter kits' for it may be a more favourable option than another lens.

Here's a solution:

https://fotodioxpro.com/products/wpcore-nk1424

You need 145 mm filters, but it will cost you less than a new lens.

Filters: https://fotodioxpro.com/collections/145mm-round-filters

Here's Lee Filters solution:

https://www.leefilters.com/index.php/camera/system-sw150

A 145 mm Lee filter is about the size of a window.

Nikon and Sigma both make 10-20mm wide angles. I have the Sigma and love it.

What filters do you already have? What subject material will you be shooting?

A fish eye lens can be fun to use. Keeping it level will give you a more or less normal image, and it's easy to make corrections in post.
