In his last three years Obama created 8.1 million jobs.

I his first three years Trump created 6.6 million jobs. Thats a decline of 19 % by Trump.

Kinda puts a different spin on the economy spurt due Trump policies.

Well to be fair, Trump did create an est of 33,000 jobs before he won his Presidency. Just about as many emails Hillary deleted lol. But again I do agree with you that Presidents don't create jobs.

Executive governmental policies puts spins on the economy that affects jobs. Of course, the Congress has a role, too. As the economy the single supreme feature of a capitalist nation and as the president is the primary force it is proper to give him the credit or debit. P**********l neglect can be as important.

My opinion is that the government and the POTUS have much less effect on the economy than most believe. Myriad other forces have much more impact than our government.

Policy changes have much more potential to damage our economy than to enhance it.

The consumer drives our economy, not POTUS.

I would submit that while he hired the people, he did not create the jobs. Demand creates jobs, not employers.

Of course Trump created those job positions, otherwise the jobs positions would not be there. When there is demand, there is the opportunity to satisfy that demand by creating those job positions. Right now, there are more job positions than there are potential employees to fill them.

Approximately 8.7 million private sector jobs were lost between January 2008 and February 2010.

Do the math and stop bragging.

Barack Obama was elected to his first term in November 2008 and took office January 2009. Those 8.7 jobs were the cost of the 2007-2008 recession. You whack the economy in year A, the results show up in year A+B.

The Democrats were in full control of the purse in those years that the recession occurred.
